Unable to disable alert sounds

Asked by Saurabh Gupta

I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature or if I am doing something wrong. I have disabled alert sounds in sound settings. Now I assume that I should not here any sounds when working on pantheon files or typing in a textbox but I get an alert sound each time I press backspace in file manager to go to previous folder or when I press backspace in empty textbox. So does this mean that alert sounds are still working ? If this is a bug then I am not sure if it's related to gala or something else. Please help.

I've ran into the same thing a few days ago. Not sure if its considered a bug or a feature. If it's feature, not a bug then i think it should it be removed because it's really annoying, especially when browsing files.
