Why not turn off the device as in ubuntu?

Asked by M4rc05

I have an external Hard Disk Drives (USB), does not turn off to dismount. (scary, the sound of the disk disconnect.)

I use "elementary OS", hoping to solve my problem using "Ejecter".

I do not speak English, sorry. (Google translate).

in Ubuntu: Safely Remove Drive

This option differs from the others since it is specifically design for synced devices like USB Hard Drives, Pen Drives, etc.. It will sync the device, unmount it and then power it down. This option should be available for devices that need sync, although Eject has taken some of the properties of Safely Remove Drive.

I'm sorry but I haven't been working on Ejecter for a few years (and I used Linux very little in the meanwhile), so I don't remember exactly how it works.
It uses however standard functions from the system, so I guess it will behave just like the other apps on Elementary.

Maybe this old question is related: https://answers.launchpad.net/ejecter/+question/63177
and from what we discussed there it seems something that should be fixed at system-level. Honestly I don't know if any progress has been made over these years.
