how to run after make

Asked by vladimir prieto

hi, i've downloaded from launch pad version 0.9.0. but after i saw gallery i realice that search where not available. so i downloaded version 0.9.2 and compiled.

what i don't like from compile programs, is that after "make install" i don't know how to uninstall that software. that's why i usually just do just a "make" and run it from there. in this case, i notice that i had to run it like this:

./eina/eina

this run the software with a lot of warnings and errors and just came up a window with nothing. some of the errors are:

[ERROR] [Gel::Plugin (gel-app.c:501)] Init for '<NULL>/player' failed: Resource not found: player.ui

seems like there is no root executable directory from where it runs.

so, how can i run eina just from the make?

pd: i finally install it with checkinstall. this question is just for the record ;)

Hi, you can also run eina without instaling using the "run-local.sh" script:
http://github.com/xuzo/eina/blob/master/run-local.sh

Maybe I should include in the next release tarball :)

run-local.sh renamed to run-uninstalled.sh and included in the next tarball (0.9.3), to be released today.

Can you help with this problem?
