How to set up ehcp behin a firewall

Asked by Juan Lopez

Hi Guy´s,

I´m trying to configure a ehcp server (is a great control panel, thanks), but my server is behind a firewall. In my echp installation
is showed a warning saying:

"Warning : Your dns/server ip seems your local/private ip (192.168.1.5). in order your server be accessible from outside, you should set it to your outside/real ip (your modem/router's ip)"

But I don´t have to do it exactly. Could you help with this please.

Thanks.

that is a warning.
since you are behind a firewall, it does not make any problem. Can't you just ignore it ?

Thanks,
My problem was I don´t saw the question that ask me the external IP in the installation process and I set the local IP.
Later I saw, in the "options" section a way to change this local IP for the external/router IP.

Thanks for your response.

Go EHCP Go !!

nice to see fixed.
sory, I fix this: if you are running a real webserver/hosting server, that warning is important, as your server will not be running right IP in its dns, apache, so, will not be reachable from outside.
