Installation problem

I installed ehcp on both ubuntu and debian and got the same error. I'm using ubuntu 9.10 or debian 5.0, i have 20gb hard dsic space, 250gb bandwidth, guaranteed ram 256 mb. The installation seems to go ok, and finally i get the default homepage, but when i click the link to log in, i get an out of memory error.
What could the problem be?

The error is: Fatal error: Out of memory (aalocated 2097152) (tried to allocate 19456 bytes) in /var/www/new/ehcp/classapp.php on line 553

you need to increase your memory, or decrease programs that are
running (or memory need)
to do it, disable mysql innodb module, reduce apache workers setting.
also you may search for "memory usage" or "ehcp memory" in ehcp.net site.

Must Have 1gb ram atleast on VPS to operate your server well. Thank You
