Yes! I've cleaned up the code somewhat, made it more or less model-independent and ported it to gobject-introspection, GTK+ 3 and app indicators. You can find the code at http://greg.kinoho.net/viewgit/?a=summary&p=eee-control - I haven't made any packages yet, though.

I tried to git clone your repo, but the link seems to be broken. I also tried with your kihono domain, and it doesn't work either

I am interested in a 12.04 version too! Can you please make an installable package?

While cloning does indeed fail for both domains, you can get zip or tar/gz archives of each commit, e.g. [1].
The packages build and install beautifully, but refuse to run, complaining about a dbus service missing on Ubuntu 12.10.

When you start eee-control-tray, there is an error message saying "Error communicating with eee-contro-daemon: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name net.kinoho.EeeControl was not provided by any .service files". And indeed there is no .serivce file included in the source tree. Is this related to upstart, or to dbus communications?
