eCryptfs

Error when decrypting directory.

I have an encrypted home directory that I need to recover. I attempt to decrypt the directory by using:

ecryptfs-mount-private

What happens next is beyond my knowledge:

ERROR: Encrypted private directory is not setup properly

Anyone know how I can "setup" the directory properly?

Solved the problem. Apparently it was 2 dangling symlinks (.Private and .ecryptfs).

Just a message. Ignore my thoughts on what it could be. Alot can happen unknowingly whilst under the influence. ;)

Can you try ecryptfs-recover-private?
