Is it possible to use modifying adapter to include some images tags to a html page?

I want to adapt the content in order to include some images to the body of each page, is it possible with modifying adapter?

It is possible to write an adapter that will insert HTML image elements into HTTP responses. The modifying adapter sample can be used as a starting point, but a lot more work would be needed to get to the final solution. More samples, including HTML-modifying ones, will be available in the foreseeable future.
