Is there any ecap documentation available?

Asked by vammov

Hi,
I would require some documentation on how to write ecap adapters.
My task is to generate content hashes of pages served by squid, and I believe ecap is the best way to do it. However, I find it difficult to understand how the adapter works just by looking at the source code.

Is there any documentation available that can help? I have looked at earlier posts and found one related entry: https://answers.launchpad.net/ecap/+question/136356
Since that post was in 2010, has any documentation been written since then?

Thanks for taking time and hoping for a reply.

Question #136356 has current information about eCAP documentation. Source code is not the only information available, but studying source code to understand how sample adapters work is often very helpful when writing your own adapters.

Documentation will be better. Not all of us is C/C++ programmers and has enough time and will to read sources.

BTW, sources is not obvious in most cases.
