eCAP API itself is agnostic to the HTTP encryption. If the host application can intercept messages and/or decrypt encrypted messages, then the adapter will be able to adapt them as usual.

For example, Squid has a set of features that allows it to intercept traffic and decrypt some encrypted messages. Please keep in mind that interception and decryption are two different features and that interception mode itself may limit decryption abilities. None of that is related to eCAP though.
