How do I start EasyUbuntu?

Asked by transistor

Looks like a good product but a bit short on documentation. :^)

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=734103&postcount=37 suggests using the following to install.

sudo apt-get install subversion
svn co svn://freecontrib.org/easyubuntu/
cd easyubuntu/trunk/
sudo ./easyubuntu.py

This seems to work.
Now how do I start EasyUbuntu?

Thanks from Ireland.

You don't "start" EasyUbuntu - you install it and that's about it...

I redid the tarball at http://users.on.net/~goetz/EasyUbuntu/euRev64SVN.tar.bz2 to include a README file, which is also available at http://users.on.net/~goetz/EasyUbuntu/README . Any feedback is valueable.

I Downloaded a "nighly generated archive", and would like to remove it all.
Any documentation on this?
Does one version- simply & smoothly...install over another?

stanz, can you make sure you download it from http://users.on.net/~goetz/EasyUbuntu/current.tar.bz2 - i would have changed the notice above, but launchpad doesnt allow for edits.

To remove EasyUbuntu delete the folder it is sitting in.

From Page::
http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/get.html
"Nightly Snapshot"
click:: "nighly generated archive", responds,::
"EasyUbuntu-latest.tar.gz2
from:: //easyubuntu.freecontrid.org".

To Remove- that easy? No other folders- spread out into other dir's?

please use this link to download easyubuntu. http://users.on.net/~goetz/EasyUbuntu/current.tar.bz2

how far did you get with archive you downloaded - if you extracted it there will be a lot of files lying around from when you extract it.
If possible come and join us in #easyubuntu on irc.freenode.net and we can chat in a bit closer to realtime :)

I started this thread originally. I was young then.
My original question was how to start EasyUbuntu. I had never run a python script before and, for some reason, "sudo ./easyubuntu.py" didn't start the app the first time.
It might be worth clarifying this in the documentation.
Thanks.

The introduction on top does not work completely because the line behind svn (URL) is missing.

EasyUbuntu is launching, aksing for password and the command in the status bar were closed silent.
