Repeated error with sources.list when attempting to start easyubuntu in 6.06

Asked by andygiles

I have just installed Dapper Drake from the cover disc of Linux Format (UK) Issue 83. The install worked fine.
I then went ahead to install easyubuntu and at first, I couldn't download it using wget so I just used the URL in firefox.
Then when trying to run it, I repeatedly get the same error after the security sanity check passes.

Your sources.list does not match your system configuration.
Either you have changed your sources.list or a system
upgrade has failed. EasyUbuntu will not run unless these are fixed!

I haven't touched anything apart from my wireless and proxy settings so I can access the internet.

I've figured it out. So if anyone else is having this problem, just visit

http://www.ubuntulinux.nl/source-o-matic

to make a new sources.list. Then replace the old one with the new one and bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt!!!
