Google backup timeout feature

Asked by Marcus Lesniak

When first installing duplicity it is possible to click the "Backup Now..." button in the GUI without there being any storage configured. The default is Google but there would be no configuration so the backup just stops at "waiting for Google to be configured in your backup settings...".
May I suggest that there is a time out after say 30 seconds if the target for the backup can not be found?
Alternatively if there is no backup target configured at all, just prompt for a location.

Thank you Marcus.

It sounds as though you are using deja dup, which is a GUI/frontend to duplicity. What you are suggesting would make much more sense to implement in deja dup then in duplicity (which is command line only) and so it would be very helpful if you could please report your suggestion there.
