Backup from remote to remote

Asked by de1m on 2016-03-22

It's possible to make backup of remote path to remote path.
For example, i've a backup execution server, so this server can connect to server1 (via ssh or rsync) as source and to server2 as a target server and make a copy of files from server1 to server2?

This is a good option if target server self cannot connect to server2

Alex

not by design. if however you find a way to mount the source locally via fuse or such, than it is possible. this has been done w/ ssh and ftp over fuse already.
