Backup on a ftp server

Asked by Dr. Heiko Münkel on 2011-04-12

Hi,

I'm searching a Linux backup tool, which is able to write direct to a ftp server. Is this possible with duplicity?

Thanks for your help,

Heiko

PS: On the source server isn't enough space to write the whole backup at first in a temporary directory.

you need temporary space for the size of one volume (see man page) and in case of restoring the biggest file you want to restore.

actually duplicity generates a volume, uploads it, and then generates the next, uploads it and so on .. ede/duply

Can you help with this problem?
