How to create passwords for users?

Asked by karif

I would like to set passwords for the users that connect to my hub? I used to use YnHub but would like to use DSHub instead.

Right now I have made it so that anyone can connect to my hub. Then I add their 'nick' in the DSHub Admin panel and it adds their CID.

How can I set a password for the user?

Separate question - How can I find get a user's CID before they connect? Will their client software (ApexDC) give them this info?

Thanks!

The user needs to add the password by himself via !password command.
Clients like ApexDC should give the user this information. Of what I know, the dcplusplus.xml file has a field named PID where the CID is ( It's called PID but in fact is the CID )

I was wrong in my previous post. It's the PID in there not the CID ( although is under CID ).
I don't know of a client way to get the CID, except an user command that prints %[myCID]

Can you help with this problem?
