trying to set up dshub...

Asked by BullMoose

I can not seem to get dshub to work.. my strongdc++212 says its connecting (BTW) I could not find CID on anything except the requirements of the hub to make new user..

the only thing I found on strongdc++ was a 128 character something the other.. is that supposed to be the cid??

security is nice, but practicallity is good too.... some of us were not born with c++ or java script for dinner..

HELP with some reall help files and a real manual...

You dont need to know C++ and/or java to have dshub working.
Have you read the manual ? I presume not.
"my strongdc++212 says its connecting" how is that? connecting and cannot enter? why? paste me the connection log.
"I could not find CID on anything except the requirements of the hub to make new user" The CID is required by dshub only to register somebody. You can also register by nick, if the user is online the hub.
You could not find your CID? I think thats a Strongdc++ problem. Since the CID is generated by the client, it should be able to give it to you.
A workaround for this is to register yourself after you entered dshub, by nick.
"was a 128 character something the other" Don't know what you found, but the CID should be 39 characters in bas32 ( meaning letters from A to Z and numbers from 2 to 7 )

My manual is quite comprehensive, but if you feel like adding something to it, i'm opened to discussion

Hope this helps,
/P
