Libdrizzle merged in drizzle?

Asked by Pavel Stratil on 2010-09-06

Hi, the current build seems to have libdrizzle merged in, at least portage complains about file collisions with it.

 * /usr/lib64/libdrizzle.so.0
 * /usr/lib64/libdrizzle.so

and I noticed that the --disable-libdrizzle configure option disappeared. So, is this http://drizzle.org/wiki/Compiling#Resolving_Package_Dependencies no longer valid? will librizzle kept separate?

Hi Pavel,

Yes, libdrizzle has been merged into the main drizzle trunk (and hence the removal of --disable-libdrizzle). Libdrizzle will no longer be maintained as a separate package (and yes, that wiki entry needs modifying).

thanks :)

Thanks Andrew Hutchings, that solved my question.

Just to follow-up on this I have now edited that wiki page too.
