import/copy drawers from old system

Asked by Dave Illing

I've just installed Ubuntu 14.04 and was previously using Drawers in Ubuntu 12.04
Is there some way I can copy or import my Drawers configuration that I set up on the old system, so that I don't have to recreate them all afresh in the new system?

All the configuration of individual drawers are stored in ~/.config/drawers
Drawer launcher files are stored in ~/.local/share/applications/ as .desktop files
Global settings will need to be updated manually, but copying everything else should work fine.

Thanks for your reply. I finally got around to following this up ...

I don't have ~/.config/drawers in my old system files, but I copied the relevant launcher .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications/ from the old system to the new, and it works OK, except for one little problem --

The drawers windows open in a small fixed size, such that I can't see the contents properly. There is a screenshot here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1556902/Screenshot%20from%202014-04-25%2021%3A45%3A14.png

If I open the Drawers Preferences dialog and then close it, without making any changes, the drawer now resizes itself to show all its contents. Like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1556902/Screenshot%20from%202014-04-25%2021%3A46%3A16.png
