Planing for 3rd party applets support?

Asked by Helder Fraga

Hello, im the developer of the GnoMenu project, in our project we try to support the major gnome docks.

Cairo dock and awn are already supported .

My question is: does docky have plans for any 3rd party applet / language support?

If not you should take a look at cairo-dock's way to manage applets using dbus , this way any language with dbus bindings can create applets , very slick.

best regards

From what ive been able to tell, it looks like you just use c# to make docklets, no more

Please add Gnome Applets to Docky! This would be an immense feature, to add any Gnome Applet to Docky. Just use perhaps Dbus and Bonobo (already running in gnome)?

Can you help with this problem?
