right-click menu on mouse-down

Asked by a

I would like to suggest changing when the right-click menu appears to be on mouse-down not on mouse-up (i.e. the menu appears when you press the mouse button down, but haven't let it up yet). Menu items are then selected on mouse-up.

Obviously this is perhaps quite minor, but it actually makes performing right-click menu actions much quicker and I really miss it from the gnome panel window list.

I love Docky!

The menus do appear on mouse down for me. Try right clicking on an icon and holding the mouse button down. The menu will show, which is how you can tell which mouse button action the menus are triggered by. Are you using the latest version of Docky, either from our ppa or source?

Okay I discovered that Easystroke (mouse gestures app) was causing this issue. Easystroke has an option to disable itself on certain windows and so I added Docky to it's exception list and now it's working great!

Thanks for the responses, I should have thought of that earlier.
