Close windows from Docky

Asked by Igor Korobka

Hello!

I'm just tried alpha build of Docky and I noticed that one very useful feature is missing. This is closing windows from dock using middle mouse click.

As I can see currently middle mouse click opens new application window and "close" context menu item closes all the windows.

Is it possible to define key combination for closing window from Docky? Like "Ctrl + middle mouse button" = close single active window, "Shift + middle mouse button" = close all application windows.

If window closing action takes place more often than opening new one maybe its resonable to switch behavior of the "middle mouse button" and "Ctrl + middle mouse button"?

Do you planning such functionality in future?

I would argue that opening happens more often than closing. Think of it this way, for every window you open you have at most 1 window you will later close. For every window closed, you have exactly 1 window previously opened! Thus, the number of opened windows is greater than or equal to the number of closed windows and thus we should optimize for opening! :-)

You might wonder, how can you open but not close a window? Simple. Open a window and then log out/restart/reboot.

Quite resonable observations :)

I can rephrase my question: is it possible to make mentioned behavior configurable in future? Maybe through some plugin?
