"DockyStandardPlugins,1.0" in Active Plugins?

Asked by RedG

Sorry if this should be reported as a bug.

I have done a bzr pull and built a new version of Docky almost every day. Now when I go to preferences I get DockyStandardPlugins,1.0 in Active Plugins. When I move them to Inactive Plugins and back again they change name to, for example, Trash (So now there is two Trash-plugins i preferences). This do not go away by restarting Docky. I have even tried to remove the folder ~/.local/share/Docky and restart Docky, but that didn't work either, it became worse.

Is there any other config file I can remove or edit to correct this?

To bad I can't add a screen-shot of the preference window for you to see.

Keep up the good work, I wish I could join you but I can't code!

Regards

Tomas

After a (Docky) crash, the duplicates is gone, but now Mounter is gone and sometimes when I add a plugin to a dock it change name to DockyStandardPlugins,1.0, but it seems like they're working aright anyway.

Lots of work was done on the addin system, and as such, some things aren't compatible with old installs. The best thing to do is uninstall docky, and then manually delete EVERYTHING in /usr/local/lib/docky/* (assuming you installed to /usr/local/ which is the default). Then, delete EVERYTHING in ~/.local/share/docky/*. After that, please rebranch lp:docky (don't bzr pull over the old source this time) and then make & install.

Bzr has an error when trying to delete directories that aren't empty, but aren't versioned anymore (Docky.StandardPlugins/* was removed from the source tree, but if you tried to bzr pull, there would be an error saying it couldn't delete Docky.StandardPlugins/ because it wasn't empty).

You won't have to rebranch every time, it's rare the we remove entire directories from the source tree. But if you get strange behavior again you'll now know how to fix it! :)

If you're still having problems with addins please come by #docky on irc.freenode.net and talk with me (cszikszoy) or anyone else that's usually there. Someone will be glad to help.

Can you help with this problem?
