Contextual menu icons not shown in ubuntu 13.10

Asked by Joe

Although I've set "Icons in menu" option by gnome tweak tool, docky doesn't show action icons in context menus, e.g. when right clicking on the dockbar I can't see any icon beside the action textual descriptions for each menu entry, such as Settings, Information, Help and so on. On the other hand, I can correctly see menu icons in all other apps like nautilus, firefox, etc...

I notice that on a dektop with AMD HD4350 video card the icons are correctly shown. The desktop runs Ubuntu 13.10.
The problem is still present on two notebooks both running Ubuntu 13.10. The only difference I can notice is that both laptops have got Intel video cards.

Thanks in advance.
