Helpers have stopped

When I try to start any of the Docky helpers, I get a flash as though they are starting and then "stopped" comes back up in the notification area. I had a similar problem in the past and I think I resolved it by installing a necessary dependency, but I've scoured the Web and can't seem to find the solution. In particular, I miss the Zeitgeist integration, which was an invaluable productivity tool for me. Can you help me start it? I'm no techie, so if I have to provide additional information, you might have to talk me through it. Thanks.
