Docky and the way it handles multiple ways of same app

Asked by Jonáš Vacek

I just wanted to ask whether it would be possible to implement some kind of a better window handling system. when i have around 7 firefox windows opened and all of them only say Firefox it is very hard to make my way through the clutter. maybe some graphical preview would be nice. Also what pisses me off a little is when i want to open a different window of the same app and single click the launcher, all windows hide, and when i want to open that window with a single click, all of the windows of that app come up as well. The whole idea behind Docky (as Daniel Foré once said on a OMGUbuntu comment thread) that the Docky should be as simple as possible. Therefore anything in your way while working is inacceptable i guess. basically if you could come up with a different way to go through different windows of one app it will solve everyone's problems and everyone will be happy.

There are open bug requests for window previews. Go find them.

Middle click to open a new window. Left click minimizes/restores/focuses the window(s).

Can you help with this problem?
