Possible to use compiz scale for multiple window select

Asked by Taylor Hillegeist

When using Docky (Awesome) i noticed that if you have multiple windows it is rather cumbersome to right click and select the window you desire (if you even know which one it is) but i noticed you can use the scale plugin to scale only one window group.

i feel that it would be great just to left click and then again left click the desired window. as apposed to guessing for example which terminal you want. and yes it can pull both windows up but sometimes one is under the other.

my question is rather there is some setting that will allow this kind of functionality to be possible?

so when i click my group of windows i can get something like

[image of two windows being scaled by compiz]
+---------------------+
 |
 | +-----+ +-----+
 | |win 1| |win 2|
 | +-----+ +-----+
 |
 |........./''''''''\...........|
 +---------------------+
this and then i can click one.

Thanks!

We had a branch that activated the compiz scale plugin when you hovered over a group for 2 seconds. This branch never quite worked right and Compiz has a problem where you cant activate the scale plugin while a drag is in progress. So it wound up being rather useless and we abandoned it.

Can you help with this problem?
