docky fails to start on lucid

I am running Ubuntu 10.04, gnome 2.3, mono 2.2.4, X 1.7.6, and an nVidia GeForce 9400

I have been exclusively using docky as a bottom panel replacement for over a year. Suddenly it will not start. Please help!
