how to change icon with python helper?

i want port my adium dock icon for pidgin applet (http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-cairo-dock/) for cairodock to docky. how can i change icon from python helper of docky?

You can change the icon of a dock item via dbus. You don't necessarily have to use python. We've written some python classes to make interacting with Docky's dbus interface very trivial, please see our wiki for examples on how to use it: http://wiki.go-docky.com/index.php?title=Writing_Helpers
