Idea for new "hiding mode"

Asked by melnikov_anton

Hi, guys!
First of all, thank you for this nice program!
I have an idea - new "hiding mode", when Docky doesn't actually hide, but always stays above all windows, like this: http://rghost.ru/1256767/image.png

This already exists.

Set your dock to 'fade on hide' and then pick one of the hiding modes. Then edit gconf and set this value '/apps/docky-2/Docky/Interface/DockPreferences/Dock1/FadeOpacity' to a value greater than 0. Note that this is for your 'first' dock, please change 'Dock1' to whatever dock you want.

Restart Docky. Now itll 'hide' by fading to whatever opacity level you set. Set it to 1 and it never hides!

I had the same problem for Docky - thanks for the solution! Could you make this an option in the "hiding" drag-down panel? For people who want to use Docky all the time instead of a panel, not having this as an easy option is really a pain. I don't see why it'd be too hard to just add an option in the "hiding" panel that'd simply do what melnikov and I just did (changing the opacity in gconf).

Would you be able to implement that by the next version?
