Theme Preferences

Asked by Shaggy

I don't know if this is a lack of documentation issue or a bug but I don't seem to be able to change the dockbar theme here. I've managed to open a window titled "DockBar Preferences" by right clicking on the panel anchor and selecting 'properties' but there is no mechanism for theme selection in here for me. I've installed at least one theme into my ~/.dockbar/themes directory but I have no idea how to activate it. The only remotely related documentation I could find is https://blueprints.launchpad.net/dockbar/+spec/documentation-theming-dockbarx which talks about how to create a theme but not how to activate one. I've looked in my 'System' menu for a DockBar preferences menu and I don't see any. I also ran dockbar_pref.py and it shows me the preferences window but again provides no means to change the active theme. So how do I change the theme?

The theming engine is for the dockbarx branch. From the text I can conclude that you use vanilla dockbar, which uses no themes.

Another little note: If you decide to try dockbarx, the newest version (x.0.23.1) wants you to install the themes at ~/.dockbarx/themes instead of ~/.dockbar/themes.

Can you help with this problem?
