Unlaunched launchers should be grey. Other icons shouldn't (well minimized windows have some semi-grey icons). If you mean that every icon always are grey, then you have encountered a bug. Could you write a bug report in that case and include eventual error messages when running dockbarx in window:

dockbarx.py run-in-window

Thank you for answer. Can you make a options or theme like minimalistic with launchers icons without gray icons?

How will you then see any difference between launched and unlaunched applications? Minimalistic is basicly the same as default theme but with grey icons instead of buttons for unlaunched icons.

There is a guy who made a dockbarx theme with a small triangle under running programs, like in mac osx tiger. Is it something like that you want? Screenshot: http://www.wuala.com/mojo2012/Public/Dockbarx_macosx_theme.png You can get that theme here: http://www.wuala.com/mojo2012/Public/MacOSX.tar.gz . It is outdated though, made for dockbarx 0.21.10. That means you would have to open the tar.gz file and in the config file change replace all icon_pixmap with button_pixmap and save the archive before you put it in ~/.dockbar/themes or /usr/share/dockbar/themes .
