Does DockBarX support Cinnamon?

Asked by Tom Metro

No doubt this will be a subset of the answer to:

211508: Does DockBarX support GNOME 3?
https://answers.launchpad.net/dockbar/+question/211508

as I belive Cinnamon support will be predicated on DockBarX first being ported to GNOME 3.

Cinnamon as well as gnome-shell would require a rewrite of DockbarX from python to javascript for most part of the code so the answer is no.

I have some follow-up questions, but I'll post those to the "Does DockBarX support GNOME 3?" question, as this question is dependent on that one.

Dear Mathias, should be possible to not rewrite dockx but only add to it the ability to use the mutter/gnome-shell features (windows manager, windows preview, etc.)?

I will look into it some times. Can't say it's at the top of my list right now. Personally I don't use any of those functions in compiz either.
