gnome-shell extension

Asked by Ernesto Serrano

Hi, I'm an enthusiastic user of dockbarx, I recently had to migrate (I use debian wheezy) to the desktop gnome 3 and I can still using dockbarx as a dock panel.
Would be possible to put it as an extension of gnome-shell?.
This would appear between the Activities menu and the clock, so we can have the same productivity as before on my little-screen netbook, thank you!

I'm Fusion Linux [1] project leader and while in previous versions we used DockbarX by default in GNOME 2.x desktop we can't use it as latest GNOME 3 isn't currently supported.

If you manage to add support for GNOME 3 we would be proud to include DockbarX again in Fusion Linux by default.

Cheers,
Valent.

To make DockbarX a gnome-shell extension, DockbarX would have to be ported from python to javascript for the most part. So the short answer is no.

Can you help with this problem?
