Dual Monitor / Dual Dockbar Icon Handling?

Asked by -z-

I use dual monitors and use one panel per monitor with a "window list" per monitor. DockbarX is great but It doesn't seem to define workspaces the same as the "window list" widget. The "Ignore windows on other viewports/workspaces" option will filter out the icons on my virtual desktops but having two dockbars open, one per monitor, will show the same list of all windows across both monitors.

Is there something I can change to get this behavior?

No, you can't. It's something I've meant to fix, though. When I get the time...

Thank you for the quick reply. I'd like to reiterate how much I'm enjoying this program so far, I love that you've made it a point to have some integration with compiz.

I've been looking through the source but it seems to be a bit too complex for me to make this sort of change. I can only guess how it is currently managing the dockbar(s).

Keep up the good work, I've been sharing this program with friends already. I hope you find time for this but also for yourself.

Glad I found this bug as I suffer from this issue too. I've been using dockbarx since it's infancy and would like to thank you for all the hard work you've put into it!

As always I look forward to new features and improvements on an already great piece of software.

This question is one year old. Since long there has been an option "Ignore windows on other screens" in the advanced page of preference. That should do what this question asked for.

Or more correctly "Ignore windows on other monitors"

I've tried using the "Ignore windows on other screens" option and all it does is shows the first instance of dockbarx with all open windows on all monitors. The second instance of dockbarx running on my second monitor does not show any open windows. I have a screenshot I can provide which does a better job of explaining what I am seeing.

Can you help with this problem?
