How do I upgrade gnome-do from .6 to .8?

Asked by KittKatt

I have followed all the installation instructions for getting gnome-do, but in my repositories it still says .6. I uninstalled everything, redid the ppa locations and the key but still am not getting .8. Help!

I'm using Ubuntu Interprid

Go to System > Administration > software sources >> third party soft. > add this deb source (by clicking add at the bottom )

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/do-core/ubuntu intrepid main

open terminal

sudo apt-get update

then

Either type

sudo apt-get install gnome-do

OR

search for gnome-do in synaptic and mark it for installation >> apply

And you're done
