Will 0.8.1 be put into ppa.launchpad.net/do-core/ubuntu intrepid main repository? Am I just being impatient? Does it usually take a while? Sorry, fairly new to this process.

Yes to 1 & 2, sometimes to 3.

Yes, the ppa will be updated.
Yes, you're being impatient, 0.8.1 was released less than 12 hours ago.
How long it takes to update the PPA is variable. We try to be as fast as
possible but our normal packager is moving, and without internet for a
while. We'll have the package uploaded in the next couple of days.
