How can I ungroup docky windows of the same app?

Asked by Yotam Benshalom

Docky is great! So much better than awn!
...But I cannot work with it.
During my work I read and edit many openoffice documents simultaneously. Currently, all of these documents are marked in docky 0.8 by a single openoffice icon having 2 dots glowing below it. In order to focus a document I have to click that icon, browse the list that opens and click again on the desired window name (often cut because of lack of place).
This behavior triples the time and effort I have to put in navigating between apps. I would really really like docky to be able to disable this grouping and show a single icon for each window, like awn and gnome-panel do. Is that possible with some plugins or configuration options I'm unaware off? If not, is this a planned feature?

It is not possible, and it is not planned. In 0.8.1 we have made switching between windows of the same app easier by allowing you to scroll on the icon to switch windows, we will not add ungrouping however.

That solves my question, thank you.

If anyone uses something like "Mozilla Prism" (SSB or 'Site Specific Browser), then un-grouping would be extremely useful, if not a requirement.

Example:

I have SSB's for Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, LogMeIn, etc, etc... but Docky shows them all as one app, with the Prism icon, eventhough I've setup custom icons for everyone of these applications. Yes, I can right click on the Prism icon, and switch between the apps, but it totally ruins a good part of the functionality of Prism.
