Docky text always replaced by ellipsis

When I first ran Do 0.8 (Docky mode), I could at least see the first few letters of the matched text for whatever I typed. However, now all I see is an ellipsis, all the time, no matter what I type (even though it is matching my text to something).

Is there any way to make Docky wider? If not, has anyone run into this problem before, and found a solution?

Drag the edges out to stretch do wider.

I want to comment, however, that this strikes me as counter intuitive. I say that because only the text/match window is too small, but my dock is fine for what I want. However, if I can't resize the text window, but I can only resize the dock, which indirectly resizes the text window.

I'd suggest allowing for the text window to be made large independently of the dock (this is what I tried to do initially, and since I was not able to, I filled the question)
