Is it possible to start gnome-do with double-ctrl?

Asked by Luca Della Santina

Hello,

I was looking to change the default shortcut for summoning gnome-do into a quick double pressure of CTRL key, just like it is implemented in google-search for linux.
I find this way of "double-pressing" shortcutting quite faster compared to pressing down a combination of 2 different keys (like the default "super"+"spacebar")

Is it possible / difficult to implement this feature in gnome-do?

My deepest gratitude for this project, it increased my productivity and the way I spend time on my PC interface dramatically.
Thanks for the wonderful work.

This is possible, but GNOME Do does not currently support it and we do not have plans to support this. Your best option at the moment is to bind the command gnome-do to cntrl-cntrl using some other keybinding software -- this will have the same effect. Your second best option would be to submit a patch :)

Can you help with this problem?
