amarok plugin have been neglected

The amarok plugin worked poorly when it was first released, and not much have happened since then. Can we expect some activity to surge toward making it work sometime in the near future? Amarok 2.0 is just around the corner too...

I seen that ZachG is working on a middle-layer abstraction for music plugins. Somebody could tell me how to reach him, so I can discuss with him how to use his implementation to develop a new amarok plugin?

I am also wondering about the progress of this plugin. I cannot code but am willing to contribute time if you have a task for me.
