can i write plugins in Java?

hi, I want to know if i can make a Gnome do plugin code in java
if not, can someone recommend me which language to use?, and some basic tutorials about the language and most important about how to make a Do plugin, the documentation and examples, something like that, i only know java :) but i could try any language

Use C# -- it's very similar to Java, with fixes for minor Java annoyances.

It is for sure a no. Anyway, try C#, if you're comfortable with Java C# will be a breeze.
