Doesn't respond to Enter key

Gnome-do does not respond to my enter key.

I am using a laptop: a Compaq Evo N1000v. Super+Space brings up Gnome-do. I can type what I want, but once I have selected what I want, the Enter key does nothing. Based on web searches, I saw that someone else had success doing Fn+Enter, but that does not work for me either.

Aah...I figured it out. My laptop was sending the wrong scan code for enter:
E0 1C instead of 1C.

In this case, there was a firmware update for the laptop available:
