Do

Where does GNOME Do fetch it's theme based display properties?

Asked by Once

The theme I currently use for Gnome is causing the GNOME Do application to display the textual match in white text on a transparent background thus making the match impossible to read in many situations. As I am satisfied with the way my desktop is currently displayed I would like to find out if there is a way to modify only the parameters affecting the GNOME Do application.

My main concerns are:
- How does GNOME Do determine it's background artwork or color?
- What are the names of GNOME Do:s application specific icons and what sizes does it prioritize? (E.g. Launch, Define word, the start-up search icon etc.)

Thanks for a great application.

Regards
Once

The fully transparent window you're seeing is a bug. Try starting Do after compiz has fully loaded and your window should be more opaque. Do determines the window color by reading your selected items background color from your Gtk theme settings. I don't understand your second question. Your best bet would be to look at the code (by looking in DefineWordAction.cs you'd see that the icon used is gnome-dictionary). Different Do themes (classic, mini, glassframe) use different icon sizes.

Can you help with this problem?
