How to hide the application on the startup?

Asked by Luca Livraghi

I'm using ubuntu 7.10 and I installed GNOME-Do a few days ago. I find very useful this application, but I want it to run when I start Ubuntu. I tried to put it in the startup going in System->Preferences->Session, then "Add", then I filled the command box with the command "gnome-do". I rebooted my system and Gnome Do started after I logged in, but not hidden. When I log in, the main window always appears on the screen and I have always to close it. What do I have to do to run Gnome-Do hidden at the startup?

run gnome-do --quiet to be hidden automatically at startup.
