Do

opening a non-default filetype with gedit

Asked by matt

in trying to open sources.list in gedit ...

Order of events
gnome do: locate : sources.list:tab: .... at this point gedit or any text editor is not available for selection in the results apps list.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
matt

Using gnome do feels a bit like learning a new language change, but with the similar feeling rewards, thanks for everybodies work.

I think that you want the "open with" action, which I think has been (temporarily?) removed as it caused some kind of problem with hardy.

I think the .3.2.1 version still has "open with" so if you're desperate for it, you could install that.

However, if you use the "open" action on sources.list it should open in your default text editor.
