Rhythmbox plugin and album covers

Asked by Blacko

Hi,

With the plugin activated, when I write an album name, the cover of it is shown, but it is sometimes not the good one, eventough it is the good one in Rhythmbox. For example, Mika (Grace Kelly) show me a strange artwork, very different from the real album cover, but I still have the good cover in Rhythmbox. Where does GNOME Do takes the covers from? Is it possible to specify a folder?

Thanks,
Blacko

I currently do not have any cover art showing at all, even though it is there in Rhythmbox. Why is this?

So, I found my answer on question #22525!

"The Rhythmbox plugin won't show album art for an album unless it has already been downloaded by Rhythmbox. If Do is running and a new album cover is downloaded, the Rhythmbox plugin will not pick up the change until the next time Do tells the plugins to update. You might not have updating turned on - you can enable it in Configuration Editor if you're using version 0.3.0 or later."

I'd add that you can manually add covers (300*300.jpg) in ~/gnome2/rhythmbox/covers and next time you'll start GNOME Do, these will appear!

Great!

P.S. I do not know what to do for your question bootsbradford. Maybe try to check out in the specyified folder to see if your covers are there. If so, you can try to cut and paste them back and restart GNOME Do. Good luck...
