Do

Is it dead or still in development? There's another project out there too!

Asked by Abhinav

Is Gnome DO project dead? If its still in development please try to make it more minimal and faster , something like this I discovered today: https://github.com/qdore/Mutate . The only reason I'm not using Mutate is its huge and bloated , 68 mb to download , then atleast half hour to install and 200something mb installation. But Its freakingly-amazzing fast and sticks to minimal design too. If Gnome DO isn't dead , can any dev take a look at this?

Says "Latest version is 0.95.2 released on 2014-10-16" right here on the page you looked at. What was your question again? :)

Mutate looks like a very interesting launcher project for Linux with potential. I'm a big proponent of the Alfred workflow over alternatives like Quicksilver or Gnome Do.

That's interesting, but it looks like it's trying to be a somewhat different thing than Do. If that interaction model suits you better, great!

What exactly were you hoping for?

My suggestions would be to include another skin for do where it dosen't features those 2 application icon view and a more minimal view should be implemented. Another remarkable feature would be workflows or you can say chaining of commands/scripts and conditional execution of them.

Can you help with this problem?
