Can I disable Firefox bookmark indexing?

Asked by zeltak

Hi

I Love Gnome-Do and use it ALL the time. One thing that drives me nuts is all the extra bookmarks i have to wade through to get to some commands i use. I really dont need to search for book marks or launch web stuff and if its not possible to send them to the end it preffer to disable it completely, is it possible?

thx for all your great work!

Zeltak

I had the same issue, I had something around 700 bookmarks and it's very annoying

Sorry about this. There's currently no way to disable the builtin commands or item sources, and the Firefox item source is built into Do. All I can suggest is (1) waiting until this is possible or (2) deleting your firefox bookmarks or (3) moving your bookmarks to a non-default Firefox profile, as Do only looks at the bookmarks in your default profile.

The Firefox bookmarks plugin will soon be migrated out of the core application do that it may be uninstalled completely.

Just a follow up question is it possible to ignore certain Firefox bookmark folders. As a lot of sites I just bookmark temporarily, I would prefer that they dont appear in the results.
