Where can I find documentation? Is there a wiki?

Asked by Blu

I read about the queuing in rhythmbox feature in your blog and tried repeatedly to get it to work, eventually realizing I had to shift focus to the action panel with the tab key. Whilst gnome-do is a fantastic application the documentation is woefully lacking and I'm wondering what else I'm missing!
Obviously, your time is much better spent programming, so is there any chance you could add a simple wiki of some sort for users to add documentation to?
Thanks for this app!

This is a great idea. Maybe start here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UsingGnomeDo

We can always migrate content to another wiki later.

I sent a note about this to the mailing list. Hopefully you'll see some content on that wiki page soon (although by then, you'll probably have mastered the few features that GNOME Do has at this point :)

I've added some basic content, if I've missed anything let me know. I also apologise for spamming everyone with wiki updates - I didn't realise for a while what it was doing!

If you are willing to work on the wiki some more, would you mind adding some screenshots to illustrate some of the instructions you've written?

FYI: You can search in either pane; to chat with someone, you can search for their name, tab to the action pane, and type 'c' to get the chat action.

I had the screenshots ready to go but couldn't work out how to attach files! I can insert as inline images but they need to be externally hosted from what I can tell. Something to do with launchpadlibrarian maybe? Thanks for the info on chat - apologies for picking random terminology, would you prefer them to be called panes?

Perhaps this is an unattainable, but ideally Do should make it clear how to use it. Maybe Do can include a small message area saying "Start typing to select an object to act on", then "Press Tab to select an action to use on <object>", then once the action area is focused, "Type the name of an action", etc. If more than one object matches and the user is to select one, show "Keep typing or select an object from the list below".

By the way, once an object is selected in the object panel, couldn't the action panel be auto-selected, without the user having to press Tab?
